Emily and the Shackleford Horses is the story of a young girl’s fascination with horses that live on Shackleford Island off the coast of North Carolina's Outer Banks and her special bond with one of them, a mare named, Marilyn, who unexpectedly gives birth during Hurricane Isabel.
